A Six-Session Online Conversation Around John Van Sloten’s Thy Tender Care

What Might Disability Teach Us About Being Human?

In John Van Sloten’s latest book ‘Thy Tender Care’, he invites us into a different way of seeing disability, vulnerability, weakness, dependence, suffering, beauty, wisdom, and hope. With an incredible gift for story telling, John opens our hearts and minds to a world where every space becomes sacred and where every person is precious.

From November 2026 through March 2027, A Deeper Communion and At The Bottom Of The Well would like to invite you to join our online Wellsprings of Formation. We’ll gather on Zoom every two weeks to read, reflect, question, pray, and converse together.

This isn’t simply a book club. It’s an invitation to come to The Well with curiosity—to listen to stories, challenge assumptions, and discover what might happen when we become willing to see differently.

Bonus:

In our last and seventh gathering, John Van Sloten will join us in celebration and conversation in the journey we have taken!
